Prescription Drug Addiction

Vicodin Addiction

Prescription drug abuse as well as Vicodin Addiction are some of the growing addictions of mankind. Both of these addictions produce drastic effects on one's health. A lot of people are more engaged in Vicodin Addiction these days since no one thought that by using the drugs given to a person by the doctor would lead to a catastrophe. People addicted to vicodin are in denial that they have a problem because in the first place, the doctor prescribed them to use the medicines. This is also the reason why many people refuse treatment or consult doctors about their addiction problem. There's a common notion also that addiction pertains to illegal drugs and alcohol addiction only. Alcohol and drugs have harmful side-effects on the body. Prescribed drugs and vicodin, on one hand, are considered by the doctor as cures or treatments for diseases. People thought, "How can something used as an antidote for illness cause disease in one's body?" In short, there's a go signal from a doctor to use prescribed drugs while in drugs and alcoholism, there is no such thing

Just like any other kinds of addiction, Vicodin Addiction affects not only the health of the person who uses it, but also his relationship with his family. All health aspects of man is hampered by addiction to nicotine. In fact, the brain is also in danger in vicodine abuse because, it prevents the brain from producing endorphins.

Vicodin is used as a mood-changing drug that gives euphoria to the users. Vicodin Addiction happens when the person intakes it more than the normal prescription, and if they keep using it even if they don't really need it anymore. Another manifestation of Vicodin Addiction is the body's dependency and tolerance for it. They can't do without prescription drug like it's food or water that they can't survive without it. Tolerance, on one hand, shows when the medicines seem not to take any effect at all in the body.
